On Friday I received a package from one of our sponsors. Ira Ramin from Tarett Engineering. http://www.tarett.com/. I received a pair of front camber plates and Front swaybar reinforcement brackets. Very Nice products, Nice fit and easy to install. Also managed to score another freebie. A front splitter from a RS America. Needs to be modified to fit but the price was right.

So Why did I pick this car?

Well I have been getting a few questions why I choose this car for this race.
Well , for a race like this a car need to be fast, reliable, have great fuel mileage, good handling and easy to drive.
As I wanted to run a Porsche and being on a budget a 944 is the Perfect choice. However a regular 944 is not fast enough, a Turbo not reliable enough. Well the choice is the 944S2, it has a 3.0 liter 4-cylinder engine, 215 Horsepower, great torque curve. Great brakes , Good fuel mileage, big gas tank, well balanced and easy to drive. In fact these S2's dominated Professional Showroom Stock Endurance racing in the early 1990's.
Then starting to figure out classification realize that a moderately prepared car fits right ino the E1 Class in the NASA Endurance series.

Here is a few pictures of what "Evelyn" looks like today as i sits at the shop. Mechanically runs and drives strong. Yes, registered and legal. Gives me lots of testing opportunities!

Still to do a few more things though. Seems like every time I fix something on the To-Do list two more things gets added to it. And will look great once Numbers and graphics gets added.
